About

What is Senshi Con?

Senshi Con is an annual convention that caters to enthusiasts of Asian culture, animation, graphic novels, and gaming held in Anchorage, AK. It is Alaska’s largest event where you can share your fandoms, make new friends, and enjoy a nearly endless array of costumes, live events, panels, contests, and shop your favorite artists and vendors.

A Brief History:

Starting out in 2005 at West Anchorage High School in Alaska, Senshi Con has provided an outlet for enthusiasts of Asian culture, animation, graphic novels, and gaming. After many of the founding members graduated high school, Senshi Con changed its location to the University of Alaska Anchorage (2006-2012). Our many years at the university helped us to establish a name for ourselves in the community and allowed us to provide more events, guests, and exhibitors. With our attendance growing exponentially every year, it was necessary to move to a larger and more accessible location. Since 2014, our event is now hosted at the William Egan Civic & Convention Center, located in downtown Anchorage. With a larger space in the heart of Anchorage, we had 4147 members in 2015.

Behind the scenes: How is Senshi Con held annually?

Senshi Con could not be hosted every year without the support of our attendees! As an attendee, your presence and feedback helps influence what anime we show, who we invite to the convention, and what kind of games are offered for casual and competitive play. Our dedicated workforce oversees each aspect of the convention and works throughout the year to plan, prepare, and run the event. From our convention head to our volunteers, it is our goal to provide you with the best experience Alaska has to offer.
