@Clam: I was just talking about the guys, as I am not going to be in a maid's outfit I didn't voice any opinion on that part of the event. You know, but it needs to be mentioned: wrangling volunteers is not a fun game, they will need to be signed into an infernal pact with escape clauses for familial deaths/injury (ideally, or at least a written agreement with a time/place stub for them to keep).
@Ame: I own a purple vest and matching tie, I would spring for a bow tie if asked . Yes the location is a big one, coffee shop perhaps? Kaladi's(sp), or a smaller Starbucks are options, but a locally owned shop is likely the best bet. I assume we will need to pay the average operating cost/a percentage (unless we have people trained, or more likely (partial?) volunteers from the group). Print out order cards for host/ess type and the food. On the same note there should be a short workshop on guy being charming/not being jerks to girls who like geeky/nerdy things. i.e. moe/tsundere/yandere: How to pronounce/what do they mean, beware which Star Trek Captain you say is your favorite, pick when to enunciate/be informal, compare them to Morrigan at your own peril, lean forward/keep them in the middle 90 degrees of the 180 in front of you, do not talk about how Roll should stay off the battle field and inside the kitchen, do not say Zelda is only useful when she is a "guy"-because she also is sometimes a pirateIng-Rhi punch!
- etc.
@Angel: guy dress code would be pretty, simple black pants/white shirt and optional vest/handkerchief
@Sub/Ash: I think that would be humorous. This is shifting me into a British dialect, I put a second letter U in "humor."
